What We’re Looking For in a Forklift Operator
We’re hiring for the role of Forklift Operator. In this position, you’ll play an essential role in maintaining smooth operations in our clubs. Here’s what the job entails:
- Operating a Forklift: Safely maneuver the forklift and perform a safety inspection before each use.
- Loading and Unloading Trucks: Inspect and unload delivery trucks and accurately receive all incoming merchandise.
- Inventory Management: Move, stack, and rotate stock to keep merchandise organized and fully stocked.
- Maintenance and Safety Support: Help keep the club clean and organized by removing waste materials and supporting general maintenance.
- Member Assistance: Greet members, assist with locating merchandise, and provide a positive experience.
Qualifications and Skills You’ll Need
- Age Requirement: Must be 18 or older.
- Experience: Forklift experience is preferred but not required, as training and certification are provided for new hires.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
This is an active role that requires standing and moving on hard surfaces, lifting items up to 30 pounds (or more with assistance), and sometimes working around machinery and temperature changes. Teamwork and adaptability are essential in this dynamic setting.
